Mark Onglao (XS ‘04) Tops Medical Board

(excerpts from the article of Niña Calleja, PDI) — Mark Augustine Saquido Onglao of Class of 2004 earned a rating of 88.42 percent to lead the 1,605 passers out of the 2,131 examinees, according to the Professional Regulation Commission which released the examination  results last week. The 25-year-old graduate of UP Manila said he would be  applying at state-run Philippine General Hospital and hopefully join its team of surgeons.

Xavier School Nuvali, the new campus in Nuvali, Calamba Laguna which will open in June 2012, is now accepting applicants for Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 levels starting today, August 1, 2011. Application kits are available in Xavier School Greenhills every Monday to Friday from 7:45am to 3:00pm and Saturdays from 8:15 to 11:00am and in Xavier School Nuvali in Evoliving Center every Friday and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The application kits may also be downloaded below.

Rudy Yu (‘79) donated his painting of Xavier School to Fr. Ismael Zuloaga, SJ, The painting shows a moonlit landscape of Little Baguio, dominated by the multi-purpose center and part of the facade of the HS building. This was one of the artworks exhibited by the Xavier Alumni Art Guild (XAG) in their first fine art exhibition last April 30 to May 31, 2011 at the Sining Kamalig Art Gallery.
