My brother just graduated from elementary in Canada. We are planning to transfer him to Xavier School this year. I understand that the school year starts in June in the Philippines. Does XS accept mid-year applicants for SY 2011-2012? He’s born on June 8, 1998. If not, then when should he apply? Will he have to apply as HS1 or HS2?

Thank you for your interest in Xavier School. However, I am sorry but Xavier School does not have a special education program that caters to children with special needs. Besides, our teachers are not specially trained to handle Special Education. Thanks!

Yes, your son is now qualified to apply for Kinder for SY 2012 – 2013. Application period starts today, August 01, 2011. Kindly just bring the NSO copy of your son’s birth certificate. Starting SY 2012- 2013, our entry level is no longer Nursery but Kindergarten. Age requirement is 4.6 to 5.6 by June 2012. Thanks.

Sorry, but he is not yet qualified to apply for Kinder, which is our entry level starting SY 2012 – 2013, because the age requirement for Kinder applicants is 4.6 to 5.6 by June 2012. At least one year of pre schooling is also required for Kinder applicants. Thanks.

I am sorry but we do not accept mid year applicants. If your brother is graduated from the elementary grades this June, he is qualified to apply for First Year Hs already . However, he is already late to apply for SY 2011 – 2012. If you will be able to enroll him in another school this SY as First Year HS and you are still interested to transfer him to Xavier School for SY 2012 – 2013, our application period for transferees starts in November 2011. Our main requirement for our FIrst Year HS applicants is that he graduated from the elementary grades whether the terminal grade is Grade 6 or Grade 7. Another major requirement is that if he is coming from any local school, that school should have Chinese subject as part of its curricular offering. Ms. Karen, our entry level for SY 2011- 2012 is Kindergarten and not Nursery anymore.The age requirement which is for strict implementation is 4.6 to 5.6 by June 2012.Sorry but your son needs to wait for 1 more year before he can apply for our Kinder level.

My son is currently enrolled at Little Presidents Learning Palace a Chinese school located near Malacanan Palace. He will be turning 4 this coming November.I believe he is now qualified for kindergarten for the SY 2012-2013.May i know what are the other requirements aside from the nso bc and procedures for the qualifying exam.

Further, in your statistics, is there a significant number of students who are not Chinese speaking but thrive well in class? would majority of non chinese speaking students eventually ended up speaking the language well even though their parents are not well versed with the language?

However, he’s not baptized a Catholic, but in a Christian Baptism.
We’re currently Born-again Christians attending Sunday services in Greenhills Christian Fellowship. My wife and i were born Catholics, and we were wed in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and have been regularly attending GCF the past few years already.
