Xavier School

Xavier is seeking High School students and parents willing to host visiting students from St. Aloysius’ College, a Jesuit high school in Sydney, Australia. The students, ag ed 16-17, are journeying to Manila as part of St. Aloysius’ immersion program here in the Philippines.

Xavier parents and alumni are invited to attend a silent weekend retreat which will be held from June 7 – 9, 2013 at the St. Scholastica’s Center of Sprituality, Iruhin West, Tagaytay City. Brian Maraña, IBDP Coordinator — The start of classes for all IB students will be on Monday, JUNE 10. Note that this is one week earlier than the regular Xavier students. Both H3 and H4 IB students should report to the MPH before 7:30am in school uniform (including proper haircut). Students should bring their iPads / Macbooks.

Arlene Choo XSN Principal — We would like to apologize for the extended processing time experienced by some parents during the enrollment at XSN last Tuesday, 30 April 2013. We have experienced some procedural challenges that contributed to the processing time of some transactions. Rest assured that we have evaluated the enrolment procedures and will be applying mitigating solutions so that the enrolment process could be as smooth and efficient as possible.

Galvin L. Ngo, NExT Team — During the enrollment period, personnel from Senco Link Tecnologies, Inc. will be present to accept/distribute iPad orders. Please note that parents/students who have ordered units before 02 May 2013, will receive a notice from the distributor when they can claim their iPad. This notice will be sent via SMS. Orders received starting May 2 will get their units on 11 June 2013.

Bro Harvey Mateo SJ (G8 Graduation Speaker) — Good evening. Tonight marks another first for Xavier School. After this year’s first female Xaverians and first Xavier chapel, you, gentlemen, are now the first middle school graduates of Xavier School.

Jerick Limoanco (speech delivered during the G7 Closing Ceremonies) — Today I feel a bit nostalgic as it has been a while since I passed through the halls of my Alma Mater. Thank you Fr. Johnny Go, Fr. Xavier Olin, Fr. Art Borja, Mrs. Jane Cacacho, Ms. Aimee Apolinario, the Administrative Staff of Xavier School and the Parents of this batch for giving me the honor and privilege of addressing this year’s graduating grade school students.

Galvin R. L. Ngo, NExT Team — 1. What iPad model can I use for the One2One Program?

The recommended model is an iPad 4 32GB Wifi. Based on our study, this model is the most suitable for our needs, given the sufficient storage and specifications, and is currently most widely available in the market. However, any existing iPad 2/3/4 or iPad Mini 16/32/64 Wifi or 3G/4G models available may be used. *Although cellular (3G/4G) models will be allowed, students will not be allowed to use the cellular function in school.
