As announced previously (cf. Letter to Parents dated 17 June 2013), please be reminded of our MID-QUARTER PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE (PTC) on 24 JULY 2013, WEDNESDAY from 1:30 – 4:00 P.M. There will be regular classes for High 3 and High 4 IB students.
To ALL High 4 Parents, All H4 students will take the DepEd required National Achievement Test (NAT) Pre Test from 2:00 – 4:15 P.M. today, FRIDAY, 19 July 2013. Thus, DISMISSAL for High 4 is at 4:15 P.M. Thank you.

In the school’s effort to continue fostering our home – school collaboration, we are scheduling a Mid-Quarter Parent-Teacher Conference on July 26, 2013; Friday. Given this, there shall be no classes in all grade levels. Given this, there shall be no classes from K-Grade 6.We will observe the following schedule on that day:
Please be informed that holdup incidents in the area of Madison and Ortigas are on the rise again. We wish to advise the members of the Xavier community to take the necessary precautionary measures, especially for those of you who walk or commute to and from Xavier School via Ortigas/Madison. Police visibility in the area is wanting and therefore the area is not really safe for pedestrians and commuters.
HS Principal — True to the school’s goal of designing learning experiences that facilitate the development of skills, competencies and attitudes of students, we are offering a semester-long work electives program to the sophomores and juniors. X-ELECT (Xavier Electives) allows students to choose a career-preparatory course that will expose them to the demands and standards of particular professions. The courses are handled by practioners in the field and as such, provide real world scenarios and training.
HS Principal — Greetings! As discussed during the H4 Parents’ Orientation, your son will have a chance this year to join the Xavier China Experience: Beijing (XCE: Beijing) program, an overseas educational experience exclusively for H4 students. This 6-week program will take place during the 3rd quarter, tentatively scheduled from Wednesday, October 30 to Monday, December 10, 2013.
You are invited to the 1st Saturday Mass this July 6, 2013, 6:00pm at the Angelo King Multipurpose Center.
Simultaneous with the mass is the Catechism for Kids at the Gr6-D classroom.
Patrick Posadas, Athletics Coordinator — The Xavier School Athletic Program aims to promote sportsmanship and foster the development of the Student-Athlete into a man of good character by promoting not only the student’s physical development, but his psycho-emotional, social, ethical, and academic development as well. The Athletic Program intends to teach positive life skills that will help the Student-Athlete become personally successful and socially responsible.
Patrick Posadas, Athletics Coordinator — The After School Sports Program offered by Xavier Athletics and HS Physical Education Department continues to receive positive responses among its enrollees. Membership in a sports club brings many benefits. It is a great opportunity for students to learn a new sport, improve their fitness levels, develop self-confidence and character and other positive traits to help children become well-rounded individuals. These sports clubs are carefully designed so that members will enjoy good facilities, competent coaches and meaningful programs.
In celebration of the Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, Patron of San Juan City, the Mayor, by virtue of an Executive Order, declaredJune 24, Monday, a special non-working holiday in the City of San Juan. Hence, there will be no work and classes on this day.
